Our Patient Program takes a small idea, and makes a big impact!

The saying goes that accidents happen, and with plushies, it is no different. Whether it's while being crafted, or during shipping — rips, tears, and production mistakes happen! Rather than doing what big companies do, which is to mark these plushies as "damaged" and tossing them into our already overflowing garbage sites, or even selling them to you for the same cost, hoping you won't notice. Plushpanions has instead taken this issue and come up with a solution that not only promotes eco-conscious ideals but continues to keep production waste low.

That's where Plushpanion's Patient Program comes in!

This program starts during our Quality Check for each plush. If a mistake or damage is found, we reclassify that plush as a "Patient" and give them a wristband to indicate their damage status. "A" for minor damage, "B" for more noticeable damage, and "C" for permanent scars or alterations. What we mean by unfixable damage is unfixable errors in embroidery, missing features, or damage that is fixable but will leave an obvious mend.

Each Patient category also affects their "Adoption Fee", or sale price.

An "A Patient" has a discount of 5%, a "B Patient" has a discount of 10%, and finally a "C Patient" has a discount of 15%. This discount not only reflects the quality condition, but also offers incentive for these Patients to find loving homes!

As of March 13th, 2026, this program has started its "Soft Launch" — pun intended!

We debuted the program at our booth during AwesomeCon, 2026, and it was a major success — three Patients found homes that weekend! We intend to count this program as fully launched, once we have created a successful way to list these Patients in our shop.

We are at the stage of making final implementations.
